LynnNChicago Watch What Happens Live Nov 2, 2010

LynnNChicago   Watch What Happens Live  Air Date Nov 2, 2010
Andy Cohen fed his ego once again by filming an additional episode of his show, Watch What Happens Live last night.  His guests, Patti LaBelle and Kandi Burress of The Real Housewives of Atlanta were the perfect end to an evening that included a new episode of the Atlanta Housewives.  It was a great episode and I love that Patti LaBelle made no apologies for watching and being a fan.
Andy's three obsessions tonight were the creepy fake-doc that Sheree was dating and their very strange scene where he insists that Sheree lick cookie dough off of his finger.  Try as she might he practically force fed her and wouldn't take no for an answer.
Second was Fakedra (Phaedra Parks) and her strange photo shoot that included a big honking jar of pickles, unlike Bethenny's pregnancy photos that were truly classy and elegant. Phaedra's photos were just weird and even a bit obscene.
Finally Andy chose Kandi's scene as she recorded her internet show, Kandi Koated Nights and discussed the sugar in the va-jay-jay talk to which Patti LaBelle added her "that's gross" comment.  Andy, who can't speak unless he's reading either cue cards or his little blue cards, read that this practice could cause yeast infections in women.
Kandi, not to be deterred by either Patti or Andy's blue card, added that she'd already spoken to a doctor and cleared it with him.
Patti and Kandi were treated to a ghetto moment as the lights in the Bravo clubhouse went out for several seconds throwing them all into darkness.  Oddly enough it wasn't an electrical power issue because the cameras continued to roll and we were able to hear Andy in a bit of a panic not knowing what to do.  Now that, Mr. Cohen is "Ghetto"!
Andy announced several times that the Real Housewives of Atlanta will be moving to Sunday nights, this is the oddest thing I've ever seen.  Possibly Bravo thinks that the popularity of the Atlanta ladies will translate into Sunday night ratings for the network, although they've never aired original  programming on Sundays.   To begin the season on Monday nights was probably their best bet in dragging viewers over to Sunday, now that fans have enjoyed the Atlanta ladies for a few episodes Bravo is hoping to maintain ratings on a new night but Sunday's a full of competition on the "real" networks so it'll be interesting to see what happens.  The good news for fans who enjoy other programs on Sunday night, Bravo is the king of repeats so you can always catch a re-run if you miss the original run.
Andy read his little blue card asking Patti LaBelle which Atlanta housewife most needs an attitude adjustment, there was no doubt in anyone's mind that Phaedra would get the nod.  Kandi added that Phaedra is not really like that in real life, it seems as though someone is putting on an act for the  cameras.
When asked about NeNe, Kandi said only "she's cool" adding that she doesn't know her that well and they don't hang out together outside of the show.
Andy played a controversial clip from last week's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, showing Phaedra Parks commenting on differences between black households and white households eating habits and her claims that her husband's less than refined eating habits being a result of his being
brought up in a white household.
Patti and Kandi both focused on the canned foods comment, rather than the overall idiocy of the comment but both seemed to agree that Phaedra made no sense.
Andy's game of the week involved Kandi's comment regarding Phaedra's baby shower where she described it as "Bourghetto" the combination of Bougie (stuffy and prudish) and Ghetto.  Patti either didn't want to play along or didn't understand the rules because she chose her own adjective to describe each celebrity put in front of her.   The pattern of stupid games continues on Watch What Happens Live.
Patti was asked about Kim Zolciak's song, Tardy For The Party and agreed with the majority of us that Kim should listen to Kandi and should also do the right thing and pay her!
The viewer poll asked whether or not Phaedra Parks was "Bourghetto" or not, no question 98% agreed with Kandi on this one.
Andy's Jackhole this time is Randy Quaid and his wife Evi who seem to have hit on hard financial times and are finding ways to cope with that by fleeing to Canada and claiming to be in fear for their lives, it is a very odd story and you can see it all here:
Andy continues his creepy child obsession by choosing Willow Smith, daughter of Will and Jada Smith who has created a music video.  Yes, she's cute and the song is fun but if she were not the daughter of a famous actor and rapper, would this video have even been made?  Maybe, but probably not and I just wish Cohen would keep kids off of his show altogether.  It's completely unnecessary!
As always, Andy taped an after show segment with Patti LaBelle and Kandi Burress, you can watch it here:
This is almost better than the actual show that aired and my favorite part has to be when Patti is asked about the singing housewives.  While Andy asked her about Danielle Staub, Patti had Luann in mind and was pleading with Luann never to sing again.  I loved it!
Patti briefly mentioned Teresa being in a "bad place" and Andy simply added, "She's in a place".  That revealed a little bit, didn't it?
The group talked about their shoes and Patti insisted that Andy reveal the price of his new Ralph Lauren's, an embarrassed Cohen admitted to spending $900 on his new shoes while Kandi seemed to think her Prada's were about a grand.  Apparently chump change over at Bravo.
I really prefer Andy having guests on who actually watch Bravo's shows and Patti did not disappoint, she did mix up Danielle and Luann but God love her, she watches when she can.
Until Next Time....
